The Water and Sewer Division provides high quality potable water for residential, commercial and industrial use including fire protection. The DPW has a total of 58 full time employees and an annual budget of approximately $19,000,000. The DPW is comprised of the Water and Sewer and Facilities and Operations Divisions. This system includes dedicated professional personnel, back-up generator power, advanced security and available full manual operations if necessary. MIWARN provides utilities and public works agencies with a Mutual Aid Agreement for sharing resources in an emergency.Īs a reminder, Waterford Township has a robust and resilient drinking water / wastewater system. Waterford Township DPW will also be collaboratively working with MiWARN, a statewide Water/Wastewater Agency Response Network (WARN) of “members helping members”.
